Privacy Policy

ChangEui Accounting Firm (the "Company") takes the protection of clients' personal data seriously and complies with the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection.
If the Company revises this Privacy Policy, it will provide notice through a pop-up announcement on its website.

This Policy has been in effect since 2023.

Personal data collected

The Company collects the following personal data through online inquiries for the purposes described below.

  • Items collected: subject, e-mail address, message content, attachments and access logs

Purpose of collection and use

The Company uses the personal data it collects for the following purposes.

  • Responding to online inquiries, providing requested services and handling related customer support.
Retention and use period

As a rule, the Company destroys personal data without delay once the purpose of collection and use has been achieved. The following information is, however, retained for the periods stated below.

(b) Retention required by applicable law

Where retention is required under applicable laws such as the Commercial Act or the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, the Company retains member information for the period prescribed by those laws. In such cases the Company uses the retained information solely for the purpose of that retention. The retention periods are as follows.

Procedure and method of destruction

As a rule, the Company destroys personal data without delay once the purpose of collection and use has been achieved. The procedure and method are as follows.

  • Destruction procedure

    Information you entered at registration is, once its purpose has been achieved, transferred to a separate database (or, for paper records, a separate file store) and retained for a set period in accordance with the Company's internal policy and other statutory data-protection grounds (see Retention and Use Period) before being destroyed. Personal data transferred to a separate database is not used for any purpose other than that retention, except where required by law.

  • Destruction method

    Personal data stored in electronic file form is deleted using technical means that render the record irrecoverable.

    Personal data printed on paper is destroyed by shredding or incineration.

Provision of personal data to third parties
As a rule, the Company does not provide users' personal data to third parties. The following are exceptions.
  • Where required for product delivery, installation or after-sales service (name, mobile number, installation address)
  • Where the user has given prior consent

Outsourcing of collected personal data
The Company does not entrust your information, without your consent, to any external provider other than the delivery, installation and after-sales service providers contracted by the Company. Should such a need arise in future, the Company will notify you of the recipient and the scope of the entrusted work and, where necessary, obtain your prior consent.
Rights of users and legal representatives, and how to exercise them
Users and their legal representatives may at any time view or correct their own registered personal data, or that of a child under 14 in their care, and may request withdrawal of registration. To view or correct such personal data, click 'Change Personal Information' (or 'Edit Member Information'); to withdraw registration and your consent, click 'Withdraw Membership' and complete identity verification, after which you may view, correct or withdraw directly. Alternatively, if you contact the Privacy Officer in writing, by telephone or by e-mail, the Company will act without delay. Where you request correction of an error in your personal data, the Company will not use or provide that data until the correction is complete. Where incorrect personal data has already been provided to a third party, the Company will notify that third party of the outcome of the correction without delay so that the correction is carried through. Personal data cancelled or deleted at the request of a user or legal representative is handled as set out in 'Retention and Use Period of Personal Data Collected by the Company' and cannot be viewed or used for any other purpose.

The Company operates cookies, which store and retrieve your information from time to time. A cookie is a very small text file sent to your browser by the server operating the Company's website and stored on your computer's hard disk. The Company uses cookies for the following purposes.
